One last page ...

And a final challenge page for April - this time for Off the Rails Scrapbooking which has a watercolour criteria this month.

I am rather pleased with how this one came out.

Scrapping Outback ...

Joining in with Scrapping Outback this month.

Creamy Orange/Tangerine, White and a touch of Grey

Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST USE AT LEAST ONE PIECE OF CHIPBOARD (as Scrapping Outback is known for ALL its Chippie)

I think I have it all covered :)

My apologies for the quality of the image - it is raining here today and not conducive to picture taking !

Scrapping Clearly ...

Running late again this month - I need more days lol.  It was an unusual colour mood board on Scrapping Clearly  - hmmm - how to make these work on a boy page.  Maybe  play up the blue and yellow and tone down the teal and purple.

Some Color ...

I really liked the colour board on The Color Sisters this month - such a tranquil, restful colour scheme.

I picked up the pale blue and citrus tones for my page with touches of the khaki/grey.  I love vintage style layouts so used this colour combination to scrap a 1930's heritage photograph of members of my UK based family.

Also submitting this to Clique kits - Anything goes April challenge.

Another freaking April ...

Finally found a few moments to put up some entries I have done over the month.

The first is for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge which involves using the word LUCKY on your page.

I loved this photo of my dd - it just screams out carefree and feeling joy in life.

More April challenges ...

Playing along with Scrap it with a song this month.  It has been quite a while since I joined in with one of their challenges.  This month they have "Hello, I love you" by the Door or "Circle of Life" by Elton-John to inspire us.

No guesses for which song I based my page around :)

I am also submitting this page to the challenge at Archi-scraps this month which is all about using spots on your page.

I have obviously used spotty patterned paper but also combined this with circular buttons and enamel dots (spots) across my page.

Easy as 123 ...

The challenge on 123 Challenge Blog is now up and ready for you.  This month we are going white - with a dash of silver.

I based my page on a Christmas theme and cheated just a little and reduced down the peaceful to read peace.  Hope you like it.

Please pop past and play along with us this month.

An ANZAC tribute ...

Our April artwork at ARTastic this month is pretty special.  It is by  Josh Miels and is called We will remember them.

CRITERIA -  The use of Typography on your page - let those letters shine!

ANZAC Day is our memorial day where we remember those who gave their lives in wartime. Your page doesn't have to be about this topic of course - you can use anything that inspires you from the artwork - the monochromatic colours, the use of a larger portrait, the masculine feel of this work etc. With the Typography aspect I just mean to use words/letters in such a way they are a focal point on your page - this can be with patterned paper or the use of an alphabet in your title or on your page somehow. It can simply be the significant use of journaling.

Here is a little sneal peek at my page which will go live of the 15th.

Hope you can call past our blog and play along with us sometime this month.  We;d love to see your take on this inspiration.

It's vintage time ...

I think you will like our challenge on Pixels and Paper this month - we are going a little vintage!

Yes it is time to pull out that hoarded lace, rummage through the button jar, secure those hat pins, dust off the paper roses and bring forth those hidden shabby chic tendencies ...

CRITERIA - Vintage style

And here is my page ...

Inspired by the muted Autumn tones in the photograph and the steamer truck.

Hope you can swing past the blog this month and play along with us.
