What's in the bickie tin for April ...

Welcome to our April challenge on What's in the bickie tin?

This month our criteria is ...

Colours - Pink & White.  Use as little or as much as you like.
Add a Flower or two
Use a stamp

I love white space - that's no secret so I have created a simple layout yet following the criteria. I've used a background stamp to create an area under my photo which normally would be patterned paper.

Soul Scrappers in March ...

Joining in with a few current Soul Scrappers challenges during March.

TTT68

Tic Tac Toe - one of my favourites.

Used the diagonal of sequins, striped patterned paper and a banner.

Using a line or word from this poem ...

"Thank You" by Ross Gay.

If you find yourself half naked

and barefoot in the frosty grass, hearing,

again, the earth's great, sonorous moan that says

you are the air of the now and gone, that says

all you love will turn to dust,

and will meet you there, do not

raise your fist. Do not raise

your small voice against it. And do not

take cover. Instead, curl your toes

into the grass, watch the cloud

ascending from your lips. Walk

through the garden's dormant splendor.

Say only, thank you.

Thank you.

I used Thank You.

One word title and this month it is to use a day, month or year as your title.

I used 2018 as the year we sold our family home of 20 years to downsize and still took way too much "stuff" with us!

OWT#2

aka One Word Title and this month it must be multicoloured ...

Pick 3 from the list and create ...

1. the colour yellow

2. splattering paint or ink

3. one photo only

4. 3 pieces of wood veneer

5. stars

6. LARGE arrows

7. two fonts in title

8. machine stitching

What's in the bickie tin for March ...

Welcome to our March challenge on What's in the bickie tin?

This month our criteria is ...

Colour - Green.  Use as little or as much as you like.
Add a Circle
Use some Ink

I decided this could be a great opportunity to use up a lot of little scraps of green paper I had in my stash and proceeded to punch circles to create my page and used a number of small embellishments to add some interest.  My background is distress ink and a stencil which I think is rather effective.

Hope you will find some time to join in with us this month.

He's just a gamer ...

Playing along with Creative Embellishments this month with their Black and White and one other colour challenge (plus using some chipboard of course).

I am obviously using yellow as my other colour of choice.  I painted chipboard stars in black paint to add to my page as well as adding in some buttons and washi.
