Scrap the Girls for January ...

Playing along with Scrap the Girls this month and almost forgot to put the entry in ... duh!  Loved the bright and colourful bohemian style moodboard which inspired me to create a page celebrating my daughters birthday using many of the colours and design elements found in the moodboard.

Got to love these bright and happy colours.

STB January ...

Playing along with Scrap the Boys this month using this as inspiration.

January 2020 Challenge

I decided to run with the blue and green colour scheme and used the bubblewrap with spray inks to create my background to give a watery effect and enhance the random style of this page.

Soul Scrappers in January ...

Playing along with a few challenges on Soul Scrappers this month.

PICK 3

Using a banner, candles and party hats as embellishments and a picture all about the cake.

Mystery Bag Challenge - anything Christmas

This one speaks for itself :)

This one is all about the eyes.  Supposedly your own but I couldn't find a single photo of myself that would work so resorted to using one of the kids.  They will need to forgive me :)

What's in the Bickie Tin for January ...

The colour Blue
Add some Sequins or Confetti
Use at least 3 layers

Continuing my theme of using up old or unwanted stock.  This page is made entirely from left over bits and pieces.  The white cardstock was a piece I had already used (I'd sprinkled it with black ink drops) but I didn't like how it turned out and had cast it aside. I sprayed it with blue ink, positioned my photo and layered patterned paper (all left over pieces from my scrap basket) over the worst of it and covered the remains spots with the sequins.  The other bits and bobs were remaining pieces from various packets which invariably end up in a small bowl I keep on my scrap desk – you never know what you might find in there.

Hope you can find time to play along with us this month.

ARTastic in January ...

Our first inspiration for 2020 on ARTastic Challenge Blog is this bright and happy artwork by Donald James Waters called Day Trippers which should work perfectly with our criteria this month of a vacation or travel theme.

While I am the first to admit I love vacations and cruising is one of my top destinations there is something extra special sailing into Sydney Harbour as the sun rises and you know you are home again.  I picked out some of the colours from the artwork for my page.

We hope you might find time this busy month to play along with our challenge.
