A little bit Christmas ...

Playing along with Soul Scrappers GRAB 5 for December.

GRAB5 is a challenge where you GRAB 5 older things from your stash to scrap.

You must, must, must use them on a project, scrap page, card set etc...what ever crafty thing you are up to!

The 5 things can be anything from your stash (the older the better!!),

OR anything you are yet to use!!

So I am using these ....

to create this ...

Easy !!

Scrap the Boys for December ...

December usually means lots and lots of Christmas challenges in the scrappy world.  Scrap the Boys has another great one and as I am way behind in getting Christmas related layouts done (like years behind !!) I took this opportunity to get another one into the Christmas album.

I think always think joy when I see happy smiling faces at Christmas time and I think most little boys think joy in anticipation of what might be inside those precious Santa sacks :)

Scrap the Girls in December ...

Well you can always count on Scrap the Girls to come up with an interesting challenge and this month's is no exception. The emphasis was SIMPLICITY.

Current Challenge

So that is what I did - I kept it simple, really really simple and focused on the colours and the leaves.

Zip it up ...

Archi-scraps has quite the challenge this month - to use a zipper on your layout none the less.  Wow, that a) took some thinking about and b) took quite a bit of searching the house for a zipper and I'm happy to say I eventually found one, short and in black so another challenge to work this onto a page somehow.

I decided to use a black, white and pink theme and to also use up some acetate pieces that have been siting in my stash for far too long.  I layered strips of paper and incorporated the zipper in among them.

I then added a little surprise bird flair revealed by the zip to highlight the theme of the page - our little cat, Bella, getting super excited at all the birds in the backyard trees.

An ARTastic December ...

Welcome to December and our final challenge of 2019 on ARTastic.  This month our inspiration comes to you from Marg Whyte with "Trimming the tree".

CRITERIA -  Please use Stars and Ribbon

I ran with the "tree" theme and added in ribbon and stars for a bright and bold layout.

I hope you can find some time this very busy month to play along with our challenge using stars and ribbon.

What's in the bickie tin for December ...

What's in the Bickie Tin for December ...

The colour Green
Add some Bling
Use some ribbon

This month I have continued to delve into the dim, dark recesses of my overflowing stash and pulled out the remains of a Scenic Route kit (another company that ceased to be many, many years ago).  I am honestly not sure why I hang onto bits of card stock, off cut papers, left over embellishments in the hope "they may come in useful someday"!  Well today was the day to create some bright, happy Christmas cards - it is December after all!

Hope you can play along with us this month.
