Remember good times ...

Joining in with the Scrapping Outback September challenge ...
WHITE Strawberry Red/Pink, Mango/Orange,and a little Lemon/yellow.
Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST USE AT LEAST ONE PIECE OF CHIPBOARD (as Scrapping Outback is known for ALL its Chippie).
Finding paper that worked for this challenge was not easy.  After delving through my pile of papers I eventually settled on some from Teresa Collins Freestyle collection which have been in there forever!  It had the right combination of  strawberry, orange and yellow to fit.  I painted some chipboard stars yellow to add to my page along with some washi and enamel dots.  I'm pleased with the effect.

Hello today ...

Playing along with the sketch over on Scrap the Girls this month ...

I am desperately trying to use up some of my older supplies.  I have so much sitting in my stash .. it is time to use some of it.  I splattered my white card stock base with 4 different inks and then got out some Sassafrass embellishments (yes they are that old!). Some little golden gems and suitable wood veneer title (inked in yellow) and voila.  I wanted a bright and cheerful page and I think I have achieved that!

Me + Him ...

The Scrap the Boys challenge this month is to feature yourself in a layout.

I am normally behind the camera so finding a photo with my son and myself I had not already scrapped was no easy task and I had to resort to one from a good many years ago but I think it works.

The butterflies are lovely rub-ons and I have sprinkled my page with gold mist, wood veer stars and some enamel dots.

ARTastic in September ...

I think you will all like our challenge this month on ARTastic.  In September we feature this delightful piece by Donald James Waters called Spot on.  Our criteria is a Tribute to Dad - any Dad anyway you might like to portray them.

CRITERIA - A tribute to Dad

There are some really amazing pages from our design team this month - all wonderful, all just a little different from each other.  I love the different takes we get from everyone each month.

For my page I scrapped my favourite photo of my Dad and I out on the farm when I was tiny.  I was inspired by the blue and brown from the artwork and incorporated some spotted paper (hard to see) in my layers.  Miss you Dad !

Hope you can find time to swing past and play along with us. You have until 11.55pm on the last day of the month to submit your entry.

Our September 123 Challenge is something a little different - hope you feel inspired and can come and play along with us this month.

I had a lot of fun putting my page together and am really happy with how it came out.

We'd all love to see what you can come up with for this challenge.

Pixels and Paper for September ...

This month on Pixels and Paper we have a colour challenge for you but as always please find other inspiration from our image as you would like - you might like to focus on flowers or include some insects on your page.  Perhaps you would like to do a spring related page - whatever inspires you about our image, please share it with us.

I don't think any guesses are needed to work out where my inspiration came from - bees - you have got to love them!

Hope you can come and join in with us this month.

A little blue ...

I loved the moodboard on Scrap the Girls this month - just a delightful combination of blue and teal.

The perfect colours for a beach photo I thought!!

An ugly duckling ...

Show us your stuff has an unusual challenge this month .... using ugly paper !!!

I guess beauty can be in the eye of the beholder so what I consider ugly you may absolutely adore and vice versa so I tend to rate papers on how long they have laid around in my stash and in this category they either fall into the "love them so much I can't bear to cut into them" category" or "hmmm, what on earth do I do with this?" category.  This background paper was most definitely in the later pile.

Happy days ...

Scrapbookit has a "Free to be you" challenge this month and has asked us to scrap something that makes us happy.

My daughter achieving her green P plates certainly made me happy when this happened a few years ago now and I thought this was an appropriate subject  for a "free to be you" style challenge because it documented yet another stage in life's journey for her.

I have also entered this layout to the August 'butterfly" challenge at Archi-Scraps

Sisters ...

Such a beautiful moodboard over on Kraft+ this month I just couldn't resist.

I ran with the soft muted colouring of cream, brown, pink with a touch of teal and grey.  I added in the required sheet music and took inspiration from the gorgeous full flowers and the heart. I added this sweet family photo of long ago sisters.

Thanks for looking xx
