On ARTastic this month our inspiration comes to you from Grace Cossington Smith with The Window 1956.

For my page I added a frame to showcase the photo and used the orange based colours from the artwork.

Friends ...

Enjoyed putting a layout together for the challenge on Creative Embellishments this month taking inspiration from the below image.

I was inspired by the hot air balloons, clouds and general colours from this piece to document a friendship.  These two boys live a very long way apart yet each time they get together it is like it was only yesterday - they immediately pick up from where they left off before.  It is lovely to witness.

Dream Big ...

Enjoyed putting a layout together for the challenge on Creative Embellishments this month taking inspiration from the below image and adding in wood.

I decided to concentrate on several of the colours in this piece - the orange, teal and blue as well as focusing on the face image from the image.  I also included a number of clouds on my page as well as wood veneer pieces.  I used a photo of my son with a group of boys from the swim club he belonged to a few years ago.

Archiscraps for April ...

Archiscraps have an interesting challenge this month to SQUEEZE SOMETHING IN BETWEEN.

I decided to go with the approach of putting something between the two photos on my page and I must say I do like the effect.

Soul Scrappers ...

Playing along with a few challenges on Soul Scrappers this month.

*  Participating in the Random Word challenge.

I used Today to showcase an "everyday" page - 1 chore today.

*  I love the concept of GRAB 5 - a great way to use up some older supplies.

Here is what I used ...

and this is the end result ...

* I always like Tic Tac Toe style challenges - great fun mixing things up a bit.

For this one  (TTT47) I used Yellow - Paper Scraps and Ink splatters.

Scrap the Girls in April ...

Playing along with Scrap the Girls with their somewhat quirky challenge for April.

I took this to mean dressing up or putting your best foot forward for an occasion and did a page of my daughter dolled up ready for a night out with her friends.

Scrap the Girls ...

A pretty mood board / colour palette on Scrap the Girls this month with an interesting quote.

I loved the colours and was particularly taken by the line "heart of a warrior" as all these beautiful girls (along with my own daughter) a decade later have grown up to be amazing, strong women, with successful careers and really bright futures.

So tiny ...

You forget how tiny they were, how absolutely precious and oh so very small.  This is how I felt as I was looking through some albums trying to find a suitable photograph for the January challenge on Off the Rails Scrapbooking this month.

I liked the peachy pink and aqua tones with touches of yellow in the moodboard and based my page on this colour scheme using up some older supplies. I have made a pact with myself to try and clear what I have in my stash before buying more in.

 (you all know how that is going to end now don't you !)

ARTastic for January ...

Our first inspiration for 2019 on ARTastic is this fantastic abstract painting by Chris Vella called Joy.

The Criteria is to use yellow, blue and orange.

Sweet fairytale ...

Sharing my layout for CSI Case File 267 - loved the colours of the inspiration and the magical whimsey of the little countdown calendar :). 

There is nothing quite so magical as a Christmas light display!

Naughty or Nice ?

Playing along with Scrap the Boys this month where the theme is Naughty or Nice.

The OMG could stand for the 98% nice 2% naughty (although in the case of our tabby cat it may well be the other way around) but also for the fact that they NEVER ever sit side by side peacefully - however the lure of the box the Christmas tree is stored in was just too fascinating to resist!
